Competitive swim coaching with Sean McGinley

Every young athlete hits a plateau—a moment where the clock stops dropping and technical habits feel stuck. In a crowded lane with other swimmers, these subtle barriers often go unnoticed.

One-on-one attention changes everything by focusing exclusively on your child’s stroke mechanics, dive power, and mental toughness. Personalized coaching makes the difference between a personal best and a podium finish.

Coach Sean’s training method

Beyond simply swimming laps, our sessions provide a deep dive into the mechanics of high-performance racing. We deconstruct every movement—from the high-catch pull of your freestyle to the explosive “fifth stroke” of your underwater dolphin kick—ensuring every yard counts.

By refining the technical nuances of all four competitive strokes and mastering the invisible skills of lightning-fast starts and precision turns, we turn potential into a podium-ready reality.

The training facility

Training for a championship requires a championship-caliber environment. Most of our sessions take place at the Orange County Sportsplex, featuring a regulation-length competition pool equipped with professional diving blocks and UV-filtered water maintained at optimal racing temperatures. While this elite facility serves as our primary hub, Coach Sean also offers the flexibility to bring his 20+ years of expertise directly to you at your preferred local or private pool.
